Hi there! Welcome to Mix It Up! My name is DJ. Yes, that’s right, my name is DJ, and I am a weddings and event DJ. I’ve been providing unforgettable wedding DJ and live entertainment services in and around the St. Johnsbury, VT, area through my company, Mix It Up!. On top of that, I also create custom cakes and sweets and provide speedy cake delivery service throughout the area.
I Enjoy Giving Back To The Community
I am a professional firefighter, emergency medical technician, and a Hunter Education instructor. I have spent the last decade coaching youth wrestling for children from Grades K-8. When I was 13 years old, while in Boy Scouts I helped in many service projects and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Each of these jobs and positions have helped me learn the skills to better serve the needs of others: adjusting on the fly to avoid unforeseen hiccups; remaining calm under pressure; maintaining confidence and composure; the ability to work with a variety of ages and backgrounds. I’ve spent the majority of my life in the service of others, as I am a strong believer there is no greater joy than giving back to the community. You could say I’ve been around the block or two.

I’m also lucky to have spent many years in the military. My service has given me the unique opportunity to pay excessive attention to detail, which translates to you having the perfect event. As your wedding DJ, I do more than just curate a music playlist with you; I make sure all the transitions are seamless and flawless, and I read the room’s energy and adapt as necessary. Despite your best efforts, there may be hiccups in your event; it’s my job to make sure everything runs smoothly, and I improve as necessary without interrupting the flow.

When it comes to custom cakes, the internet is full of some amazing and outlandish ideas. Admittedly, some are well above my experience and level. I am not here to pretend to be someone I am not. However, I will do my best to fulfill your expectations, making sure the final product catches the eyes of your guests, as well as their taste buds. That’s how it’s supposed to be, after all!
